Murals have been central to my art practice and community members have been central to all of my murals. I like to make friends! And I like when people step into the curious world of painting and leave magically invigorated having been forced into a comfortably vulnerable space... As a facilitator and witness- I'm humbled. There is simply too much goodness inherent to a mural process to keep it all to myself. It's worth the extra time to open it up! Especially if communities are facing challenges, murals make for a vast organic-conversation problem-solving landscape. AND the process results in beautiful neighborhood icons. WINS ALL AROUND!!!
