2016-2018 I worked with civic and community leaders in Saint James MN through Partnership Art. Program goals were central to boosting economic vitality and creating work reflective of the rich cultural diversity inherent to the Saint James community.

The work was directly inspired by community members in design workshops (pictured.) Throughout the project timeline I called on community members to make key decisions and relied on them as collaborators, community organizers, and support staff. 

 

In collaboration with community, my intention is to work in a way that expands the group of folks an individual considers when they speak the word "we."  The art is durable and will remain for 30+ years, but the relationships and personal connections will extend indefinitely for generations to come.
